Moon Sweepers Split Screen and Local Co-op

Moon Sweepers has no confirmed split-screen or local co-op mode. As of November 1, 2026, the Steam listing and SteamSpy tags show single-player and online co-op for up to 16 players only. Each player needs their own copy and their own PC or Steam Deck, and joins the host's world over Steam.

What the Steam Listing Confirms

  • Single-player and online co-op for up to 16 players.
  • No "Shared/Split Screen" or local co-op feature tag.
  • Windows PC on Steam only, so there is no console crossplay.
  • No deluxe edition or extra-player licence: everyone in the lobby owns the game.

Playing Together in the Same Room

The working setup for couch play is two machines on the same network, each signed in to its own Steam account with its own copy. A laptop plus a Steam Deck works; the host invites the other player as in our multiplayer guide.

Steam Remote Play Together only works for games that list it. The SteamSpy category data we checked does not include it, so confirm on the Steam store page before counting on it for a second controller.

If Your Friend Cannot Join

Both players must run the same game version. Update through Steam, then follow the co-op not working checklist. For bigger crews and hosting limits, see dedicated server and crossplay status.
