Moon Sweepers Guide: Your First Cleanup Loop

The confirmed Moon Sweepers loop is simple: clean lunar dust with your starting toothbrush, collect it until your storage fills, deliver it to a depot and launch a shipment to get paid. You then reinvest that money in better tools, more carrying capacity and, later, cleaning vehicles. You can do all of this solo or in online co-op for up to 16 players.

The Core Loop at a Glance

Every confirmed system in Moon Sweepers feeds into one repeating cycle. The developer's Steam description lays it out in this order. Learn these steps first, and the rest of the game will make sense.

  • Clean dusty lunar terrain, starting with a toothbrush.
  • Collect the dust until your storage fills.
  • Bring the load to a depot.
  • Launch a shipment to get paid.
  • Spend the earnings on better tools and more carrying capacity.
  • Unlock cleaning vehicles as the operation grows.

What Moon Sweepers Is

Moon Sweepers is a space cleaning simulation from DragDrop Games, sold on Steam for Windows PC. The job is to clean the Moon, and the joke is that you start with nothing more than a toothbrush. At our October 22, 2026 check, the planned release date was October 23, 2026.

Progression revolves around turning lunar dust into funds for a better-equipped crew. Depots connect your work areas to deliveries, and vehicles expand what you can do as the operation develops. The store also describes visible cleaning progress, so you can see the ground you have cleared.

Step 1: Clean With Your Toothbrush

Your first tool is a toothbrush, and it is the one starting tool the developer names. You use it to clean dusty terrain on the lunar surface. It is slow on purpose, because the whole progression is about replacing it with something better.

We have not verified the exact button or the cleaning radius. The store description does not include a control tutorial. We will add the inputs once they are confirmed in the released game, rather than guess them.

Step 2: Collect Dust Until Storage Fills

As you clean, the collected dust fills your storage. That limit is what sends you back to a depot, so it shapes the rhythm of every trip. A full load is your cue to stop cleaning and start delivering.

The developer connects carrying capacity upgrades with handling larger jobs between deliveries. In other words, more capacity means fewer trips for the same amount of dust. The starting capacity and the units it is measured in were not verified.

Step 3: Deliver to a Depot and Launch a Shipment

Depots are the delivery points in the loop. You bring your collected dust to a depot and launch a shipment to get paid. The developer describes delivery and shipment as separate steps, so a deposit on its own is not described as a sale.

Depots can also be placed near the area you are working in. That shortens the walk between cleaning and delivering. Our Moon Sweepers depots page covers everything confirmed about them.

Step 4: Reinvest Your Earnings

Shipments are how you earn money, and money is how you progress. The developer names better cleaning tools and increased carrying capacity as things your earnings can buy. Each upgrade makes the next round of collecting more productive.

No official upgrade order exists, and we have not measured one. Our best upgrades page explains how to compare options without a tier list. For the earning side, see our how to make money page.

Cleaning Vehicles Join Later

The Steam description confirms that cleaning vehicles become usable as your operation develops. The short description uses unlock language for them, and a teaser upload also mentions vehicle unlocks. They are part of later progression, not the first session.

The exact unlock requirement, vehicle names and specifications were not verified. We do not publish an unlock tutorial until it can be reproduced. Our cleaning vehicles page tracks what is known.

Play Solo or in Online Co-op

You can start alone, because Steam lists single-player support. Online co-op supports up to 16 players in total. The store describes crews either working in separate areas or cleaning the same area together.

Host and join steps, save ownership and shared money were not verified. Our multiplayer page lists what is and is not confirmed. If a session will not connect, our co-op troubleshooting page covers the general Steam checks.

What This Guide Cannot Tell You Yet

This guide sticks to what the developer has published. Several details need hands-on testing in the released build before we can add them. We list them here so you know what is still open.

  • Tutorial steps and input prompts.
  • How saving works.
  • The cost of the first upgrades.
  • A tested first-hour route.
  • Progression milestones.

Platform, Release Date and Languages

Moon Sweepers is listed on Steam for Windows PC, with macOS and Linux marked as unsupported. No PS5 or Xbox version has been announced. The planned release date at our check was October 23, 2026.

The live store data shows 19 interface languages. The store lists a minimum of 2 GB of free disk space, with 4 GB recommended. Our download page explains the official install route.

Official Moon Sweepers Channels

DragDrop Games is listed on Steam as both the developer and the publisher of Moon Sweepers. The official channels we could verify are the Steam store page, the Steam community discussions and the MoonSweepers YouTube channel. Patch notes and announcements that change the loop would most likely appear there first.

Steam's website field for the game points to a Discord server, but we could not verify that invite. We therefore do not link it on this site. The Steam discussions are also the right place to report bugs, since we cannot fix the game itself.

Where to Go Next

Each step of the loop has its own page on this wiki. Start with collecting lunar dust, then read about depots and cleaning tools. Those three cover the systems you will meet first.

Every page shows the date its facts were last checked. We update them against the released game rather than copy figures from elsewhere. If something in the game differs from what we describe, our contact page is the fastest way to tell us.
