Moon Sweepers Packager, Conveyors and Merger Troubleshooting

If your Moon Sweepers packager or production machine stops despite available power and materials, update the game first. Version 1.0.4 fixes a capsule-packing stoppage, while 1.0.3 and 1.0.4 address co-op splitters, mergers and belt intake. The checklist below separates published fixes from general diagnostic suggestions.

Capsule Packing Stops With Power and Materials Available

The developer's 1.0.4 notes describe machines pausing with a capsule-packing error despite having power and materials. The update lists that condition as fixed. Install the update and reproduce the problem on a small line before assuming your whole factory needs rebuilding.

If it persists on 1.0.4 or later, record the machine name, the on-screen message, its power and material indicators, and whether you are hosting or joining. Those details distinguish a recurring bug from a missing input. We have not tested machine recipes, throughput or power requirements and do not invent those values.

Merger or Splitter Works Only for the Host

Version 1.0.3 fixes crewmate-built splitters and mergers and lets these components snap directly to one another. Version 1.0.4 extends shared belt building so crewmates can place splitters and mergers on belts other players built. It also changes mergers to alternate between inputs.

Update the host and all guests before comparing behavior. An old workaround that requires the host to build every component may describe a launch bug already addressed by the developer. If only guests still see a stoppage, capture both views and use the co-op checklist.

Dust Reaches the Intake but Money Does Not Change

Version 1.0.3 corrects deposit-intake payment and states that dust and stone arriving by belt are paid on arrival. Check the installed version and compare the intake display with a small delivery before drawing conclusions about an entire production chain.

As a general diagnostic step, observe one transfer at a time: the capsule leaving the machine, entering the belt, reaching the intake, and the payment display changing. This is a way to locate a failure, not a verified recipe or a promised fix. See how money works and depots for the basic economy.

Protect the Save Before Changing the Layout

Try reversible checks first: update, compare host and guest behavior, and inspect one short belt segment. Do not demolish a working base simply because a launch-week guide describes a bug.

Version 1.0.4 adds automatic backups outside Steam Cloud. Its notes also warn that saves made in 1.0.4 cannot be opened in older versions. Keep a separate copy before experimenting with a version rollback; do not rely on an older build to repair a new save.

What to Include in a Bug Report

Give the game version, host or guest role, the exact error, a screenshot of the short test line and the steps that reproduce the failure. The Steam Community discussions provide a public place to compare reports; the developer's patch notes also direct bug reports to its Discord.

Patch notes explain what changed, but they are not a complete Packager operating manual. This page does not claim a tested optimal belt layout, exact production rate or universal fix.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does the packager stop even with materials?

The 1.0.4 patch fixes machines stopping with a capsule-packing error despite power and materials. Update first; if it persists, record the exact machine, indicators and host or guest role.

Does the host still need to build every merger?

The developer fixed crewmate-built splitters and mergers in 1.0.3 and shared belt building in 1.0.4. Check everyone's version before applying an older workaround.

Can I downgrade a 1.0.4 save to fix a conveyor?

The developer says saves made in 1.0.4 cannot be opened in older versions. Preserve a separate backup before any version experiment.
