Workshop Support and Third-Party Mod Claims
No Workshop feature is listed in the checked app metadata. That is a narrow observation about Steam's listing; it does not prove that community modifications are impossible or that the developer will never add support. We do not describe a future Workshop release as confirmed.
A page labeled Moon Sweepers mods may instead offer a trainer, a replacement executable or instructions written for another game. Before following a guide, match app 5335510, the game version and the author’s actual installation steps. We have not validated any download in those categories and do not provide an installation recipe based on a name match.
Automation Changes Already in the Official Game
If your aim is to reduce manual work or fix a stalled production line, inspect the official updates before searching for a mod. The 1.0.4 notes describe changes to J.O.O.N.A.S. robot behavior, including cleaning while players are away and dispatching capsules toward a catcher. These are developer changes, not community modifications.
The same update addresses capsule-packing stoppages and shared belt building. Version 1.0.3 also changes shared crew upgrades and crewmate-built splitters and mergers. Use the Packager troubleshooting guide, co-op checklist and upgrade guide to identify whether the issue you want to modify has an official fix. We do not claim every remaining bug is resolved.
Back Up a World Before Experimenting
The developer says 1.0.4 creates automatic backups outside Steam Cloud and warns that saves written by that version cannot open in older versions. A version rollback is therefore not a general recovery method. Automatic backups also should not be treated as a tested undo button for an unverified modification.
Close the game and preserve a separate copy of your world before making changes. The patch identifies this Windows backup directory: C:\Users\[user-name]\AppData\LocalLow\DragDropGames\MoonSweepers\Backups. This is the documented backup location, not a claim that every active save file is stored in that subfolder. Keep the untouched copy separate from your experiment.
Questions to Resolve Before Joining a Modded Crew
A useful compatibility report should identify the game build, modification version, whether the author tested hosting and joining, and whether the world loads again without it. We have not established mixed modded and unmodified multiplayer compatibility. Test with a disposable world before using an established shared save.
For an unmodified session, start with multiplayer setup. If the problem persists in the current unmodified game, report the version, host or guest role, reproduction steps and exact error in the official discussions. This gives the developer more useful evidence than assuming a mod is required.

Do I need a mod to get the latest J.O.O.N.A.S. changes?
The robot improvements described in patch 1.0.4 are official game changes. Update through Steam before treating those features as a mod requirement.
