How Long to Beat Moon Sweepers: Playtime Explained

Moon Sweepers has no story campaign or credits screen, so there is no fixed time to beat it. In Steam reviews we read on October 30, 2026, players report buying every upgrade after roughly 5–9 hours, often with less than 1% of the Moon cleaned. Cleaning the entire Moon is a far longer, open-ended goal.

Playtime Reported by Players

These are self-reported figures from individual Steam reviews, not measured averages. They vary with crew size, route planning and how early you automate.

  • All upgrades bought: about 5–7 hours solo in one review, about 7 hours in a group of three in another.
  • Moon progress at that point: under 1% in several reviews; one player reached 1.6% after 26 hours.
  • Long runs: reviewers at 37 hours reported 16% and 18.2% of the Moon cleaned.
  • One player ran out of things to buy at around 10% clean.

What Counts as Beating Moon Sweepers?

There are two practical finish lines. The first is the upgrade tree: once your tools, carrying capacity and vehicles are maxed, most new mechanics have been seen. The second is a 100% clean Moon, which is a scale challenge rather than a content one.

Several reviewers say the late game becomes repetitive after the upgrades end. If you want a short, complete experience, treat the upgrade tree as your ending.

How Co-op Changes the Length

Moon Sweepers supports online co-op for up to 16 players. Since patch 1.0.3, upgrades use the host's upgrade matrix across the crew, so a group shares one progression track and reaches the upgrade cap sooner.

More players also means more ground cleaned per hour. See the multiplayer guide for hosting details.

Ways to Get More Out of Each Hour

Short delivery routes matter most early on. Our depot placement and money guide cover the core loop, and the JOONAS page explains the late-game automated sweeper that keeps cleaning when you stop.
