Moon Sweepers Flags and Survey Sites

Moon Sweepers has 195 tangled national flags spread across the Moon, according to the in-game collection popup and several guides published October 25–27, 2026. Each one pays $100 once you untangle it, for about $19,500 in total. The 26 survey sites pay $250 each. Neither respawns, so they are one-time cash, not a farm.

Flags, Survey Sites and Stations at a Glance

These figures come from guides that cross-check one another; we have not counted every flag ourselves.

  • Flags: 195, $100 each. One player's Moon Map screenshot shows a total of 196, so treat the last flag or two as unconfirmed.
  • Survey sites: 26, $250 each, about $6,500 in total.
  • Stations: 12 reported by Destructoid and other guides. They are travel hubs, not cash rewards.
  • Rewards are one-time and are paid instantly.

How to Untangle a Flag

Flags are small country flags on a pole. Walk up until the interaction prompt appears, press E and hold position until the progress bar finishes. Driving past or sweeping next to a flag does not count.

When it completes, the game shows the country name and the $100 reward. Survey sites work differently: clear the dust inside the marked perimeter around the sensor array, then finish the survey interaction.

Where Players Find Flags First

No official flag map has been published. These are the areas players name most often in Steam discussions and guides:

  • Just beyond the mountains around North Station: one player counted about five flags and one survey site there.
  • The routes between stations, especially toward East Station and West Station.
  • The ground around survey sites, which are easy to spot from a distance.

When to Go Flag Hunting

Early. Your first tool cleans slowly, and one Steam player reported returning with almost $3,000 after touring the stations for flags and survey sites. That money buys your first upgrades much sooner than sweeping alone. See the tips and strategy page for what to buy with it.

Version 1.0.4 added waypoints and a Teleport Panel for faster travel. Its notes do not say these reveal flags. On the Moon Map, orange marks uncleaned ground, not unvisited areas or missing flags, so keep your own notes.
