Moon Sweepers Best Upgrades: What Is Confirmed

No verified best upgrade order for Moon Sweepers exists yet. The developer confirms better cleaning tools and increased carrying capacity as upgrades, with cleaning vehicles later, but publishes no costs, effects or prerequisites. Without that data, any ranking is a guess, so this page explains how to choose instead.

Upgrades at a Glance

Moon Sweepers has several confirmed progression systems. The developer does not say which to buy first. Here is the current state of play.

  • Confirmed: better cleaning tools.
  • Confirmed: increased carrying capacity.
  • Confirmed: cleaning vehicles, which become usable as the operation develops.
  • Not verified: prices, effects or prerequisites.
  • Not available: a tested best upgrade order.

The Confirmed Upgrade Types

Your starting tool is a toothbrush, and better cleaning tools are the first confirmed upgrade path. Increased carrying capacity is the second, and it lets you handle larger jobs between deliveries. Both are bought with money from dust shipments.

Cleaning vehicles come later, as the operation develops. The exact way to unlock them was not verified. Our how to unlock vehicles page tracks that question.

Why No Upgrade Order Is Published

The developer confirms several progression systems but does not prescribe a best first purchase. It also does not publish comparative upgrade returns. A launch report from GamesFinity confirms equipment progression without testing any strategy.

The trailer and teaser descriptions support progression in general. They contain no upgrade cost-benefit tests. We do not extract a ranking from trailer wording.

How to Choose: Find Your Slowest Step

Every cycle has three parts: cleaning, filling storage and delivering to a depot. Whichever part takes longest is your bottleneck. An upgrade that targets the bottleneck is likely to help most.

This is a decision framework based on the confirmed loop, not a tested route. It does not tell you exact gains. It does help you avoid buying something that fixes a step that was already fast.

Tools or Carrying Capacity First?

If cleaning a full load takes most of your time, a better tool targets that step. If you spend more time walking to the depot, more capacity means fewer trips. No measurements confirm which is better in general.

Our cleaning tools and carrying capacity pages cover each option. Both pages list exactly what is and is not verified. Use them together when you plan a purchase.

Do Not Forget Depot Placement

Not every improvement is an upgrade. The developer says depots can be placed near your work. A closer depot shortens every delivery run without changing your equipment.

Depot costs were not verified, so we cannot compare them with upgrades. Still, check your route before spending money on capacity. Our depot placement page covers the confirmed rule.

How We Will Test Upgrade Orders

A real ranking needs controlled tests. We will measure the slowest part of a full collection-and-sale cycle first. Then we will compare each purchase from the same budget and save state.

Each result will name the game build it was measured on. Balance can change between patches, so dated results matter. Only repeatable results will be published as rankings.

Upgrades in Co-op

Moon Sweepers supports online co-op for up to 16 players. We have not verified whether upgrades and money are shared across the crew. That makes co-op planning harder to advise on.

If upgrades are shared, a crew could split purchases between tools and capacity. If they are personal, each player would plan alone. Our multiplayer page will add the answer once confirmed.

Upgrade Data Still Unconfirmed

These are the values a real upgrade ranking needs. None appear in the official materials. We will record them after testing the released build.

  • Prices.
  • Upgrade effects.
  • Baseline collection and delivery times.
  • Vehicle prerequisites.
  • Patch-specific balance.
  • Who owns progression in co-op.

Official Moon Sweepers Channels

DragDrop Games is listed on Steam as both the developer and the publisher of Moon Sweepers. The official channels we could verify are the Steam store page, the Steam community discussions and the MoonSweepers YouTube channel. Equipment changes and patch notes would most likely appear there first.

Steam's website field for the game points to a Discord server, but we could not verify that invite. We therefore do not link it on this site. Player posts on any channel are reports, not official statements, unless a developer identity is confirmed.

Common Upgrade Mistakes

The first mistake is following a fixed upgrade order that cites no tests. No official order exists, and costs and effects were not published. A route that worked in one build may not work in another.

The second mistake is upgrading the part of your cycle that was already fast. Check whether cleaning or delivery takes longer before you buy. That simple check is more reliable than an untested tier list.

Why Equipment Details Are Still Missing

At our October 22, 2026 check, Moon Sweepers was still listed on Steam as coming soon, with a planned release on October 23, 2026. The equipment details players want most come from playing the released build. Official descriptions and trailers only cover the broad systems.

Pre-release footage can also differ from the final game. That is why we do not read item stats from trailers. Once the game is out, we will test equipment directly and date every value we add.

Upgrades in Solo Play

Steam lists single-player support, so you can progress alone. In solo play, every part of the cycle is your job, from cleaning to shipping. That makes the slowest-step check especially useful.

Keep a simple note of how long cleaning and delivery each take. After an upgrade, compare the same area again. That gives you your own evidence while official numbers are missing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I upgrade capacity or tools first?

No tested answer exists. Upgrade whichever part of your cycle is slowest: cleaning or delivery runs.

Is there a proven fastest upgrade route?

No. The developer publishes no upgrade costs or effects, and no measured route was found.

Are vehicles an upgrade?

Vehicles are a separate confirmed system that becomes usable as your operation develops. How to unlock them was not verified.

Is carrying capacity worth buying?

It is a confirmed upgrade that reduces depot trips. Whether it beats a tool upgrade has not been tested.

Will the best upgrades change after patches?

They might. That is why any ranking we publish will name the build it was tested on.
